Project Description
Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) has been applied to characterize different sectors in the riverbed and define the limits and thickness of the different materials. This non-destructive geophysical technique has permitted to determine the contrast of resistivity of subsuperficial geological materials that define the riverbed to estimate the geometry, thickness, structure for different layers.
The electrical tomography 2D/3D technique is based on electrical methods. The distribution of real resistivity of the subsoil in the distance-depth section under study is determined by the installation of series of electrodes that deploys a longitudinal and cross sectional area.
